Today we found out that we will be getting stationed at Farechild Air Force Base in WA. I am not concerned how my truck will handle it up there, but can those of you who have either been there or live in WA tell me what I am in for? I am from New Orleans but the military put me in Missouri. Thanks. BTW we have to be there in November.

Fairchild AFB is in Spokane, WA. I live in Seattle which is about 4 hours away. Spokane has a dryer climate than Seattle since it is on the east side of the Cascade Mountain Range.

In Spokane you will get very cold temperatures during the winter and hot temps during the summer. but not humid like you might be used to in the south. I have driven thru Spokane in July when it was in the 100's and in February when it was in the single digets.

This past winter was killer for that area. The picture in my signature was about an hour away from Spokane. They get a lot of snow during the winter and there are 2 great ski areas with in an hour and a half drive.

If you like the outdoors Spokane is a great place to be.
