You must really like generic low-rent movements!! None of what you have bought since beginning of this thread has any substance inside...and for a mechanical watch (and you apparently claim to know such), that is the reason of existence. Otherwise, you're just buying an empty shell that fools you into buying it based on looks alone. This is fine for first time buyer...but for someone like you who repeatedly claim to know so much about mechanical watch, this is just sad that you're buying the same stuff over and over again...and losing wads of cash (and common sense).
BTW, as a mechanical watch enthusiast, you NEVER buy something just because it is "manly." If so, then just buy a Timex or Casio. But, i guess that you and Victorinox must be in the same league....
I surely hope that you did not post these pics and comments on WatchUseek!

And when did I post that? Oh yeah, AT THE BEGINNING of this thread (August last year!)! Many months later, you keep on buying the same stuff. Again, ORIS is a fine watch for beginners who want a taste of mechanical watch. And that is all they may need. But YOU keep on circling the drain over and over again...blowing money on little value to an enthusiast, which you claim to be.
IF you truly love mechanical watch, then NEVER BUY A WATCH BASED ON LOOKS ALONE. The inside ("heart") of a mechanical watch speaks VOLUME of its value, not the pretty colors of the case!! I had assume that you learn that by now...I stand corrected.

It will be interesting how Swiss handles the growth of smartwatches.
Here's the thing...what did Swiss manufacturers do when Quartz (and Seiko revolution) came out in the early 70s? Did Swiss do well with Quartz revolution? History may repeat itself if they are not careful. Swiss do best with what Swiss do best. When they go into another category (e.g. quartz), they failed miserably...and almost bankrupt the whole industry!! Only Rolex survived unscathed. Why? Because Rolex refused to jump into Quartz revolution. Omega almost went belly up!
And quartz revolution is no where near as significant departure from traditional watchmaking as smartwatches.

Yes, there is Rolex Quartz, but for the most part, Rolex stayed away. Finding a quartz Rolex is quite rare!

Just thinking out loud here...so, you would spend $995 for above watch.
BUT, wouldn't it be better to wear one of your mechanical Omegas (Speedmaster!) + a Jawbone activity tracker on the other wrist? You then enjoy the mechanical aspect of Omega and still have a very discrete activity tracker at the same time.
I think that this FC smart-watch movement will fail...badly IMHO.

quarts revolution was much more significant than smartwatch nonsense.
it`s not watch anymore just like iphone is not a phone.in the rest of the world it called communicators, not smartphons.
Omega survived quartz revolution just fine, actually they doing great with non mechanical watches, after speedmaster seamaster quartz is their best seller.
at least according to reports.
there nothing horological in a smartwatch, watch market shrinked not because of alternatives like smartwatches but people stopped wearing them, if anything cell phones killed watch market not smartwatches nor quartz.
