how many SKX007/9 owners are here? I feel like that's the watch equivalent of the 4runner - japanese, built like a tank, will last forever
I'm guessing a lot. I've got two turtle divers, which are pretty similar.

If only there were a Wear OS watch with the thin form-factor of the Gear S2, I'd be all over it.
The hype of the apple watch series 4 has kind of worn off for me.
I'm back to wearing my g-shocks b/c.....
1. apple watch is only worth it if you have other friends who have it, and you can use the walkie-talkie mod, and other fun apps.
2. battery life is inconsistent although way better than the previous generations and there is something about having one more device you have to worry about to keep charged that nags me.
3. i hate flicking my wrists to get a time, especially since I work in the medical field where I have to take down time and date for every drug order I receive. At the same time, disabling the wrist flicking features results in less battery life....
so basically, its great as a lifestyle piece of tech, but it sucks as if you have to use it as an actual watch, especially if you have to use it as frequently as I do.
Series 4 main focus is fitness and heart rate monitoring (including ECG feature)...not walkie talkie, which is kinda gimmicky to be honest.
Battery life is one day. Remember though, it does a lot more stuff than your G-shock (e.g. monitoring your health, notifications, Apple Pay, etc.)...alternatively, you can put your Watch in low battery state and get a week's worth of battery life! But if you do that, then it is no smarter than your G-shock. So, while true that you have one more thing to charge, you do have more advance features on the Apple Watch that are simply not available on G-shock.
The last part is true. You do have to rotate your wrist to see the time. What you could do is turn on the feature WAKE SCREEN where when you tap on the screen, the screen will stay away for 70 seconds...so that you can still see time (for 70 sec after tapping display) if you have to enter a lot of orders in within a small time frame.
Did you return the Apple Watch or keep it? If keep, then are you selling it?
I don't have Apple watch but would you pick one up if it is not on fire for a great discount? Let said 95% off MSRP...Love my Casio solar atomic watch. Wouldn't walk across the street to piss on an Apple watch if it was on fire!
