I'll try and make a long story short. Out playing in the puddles and mud on the mountains, went through big (not really deep) puddle, fried some wires in the alternator harness (ground wire) and car dies. Get a tow down the mountain and get the car started but it dies after a minute with dead battery (ok, that's the alternator). I have got the alternator repaired and now the car won't start. When I did have it running for a minute on the mountain, I did have water spitting out the muffler a little. Do you think I may have water in the engine? I'm fairly certain it is not hydro lock as I was able to get it started and it sounded fine for the short minute it ran. If there is water in there preventing the start, how do I get it out?
