Water pump?

When I got my 91 it had a similar coolant leak. I bought the water pump, got it tore down to the pump and found out it was just the coolant line that runs from the pump to who knows what just to the rear of the oil filter. The pump was fine, but that coolant hose was oil-soaked and leaking. I know this thread is a bit old, but that's my experience. Would have saved me a day of screwing around with the pump.

I have a similar leak on my 95 V6, started 2 days ago. Does anybody know if all the 95's had this by-pass hose coming out of the water pump? Looking at parts online some show no by-pass, which are more expensive. The problem I have is that I would like to pick up some parts before I take everything apart since transportation logistics will be tough, but I don't know which water pump to buy! And of course, maybe it is just a leaking hose! Also, have any of you done this job while leaving the radiator in place, just taking off the fan and its shroud?
