Well I'll start off and say this machine belongs to my wife, she picked the T4R to replace her VW diesel.
To start she had a hard time deciding if she wanted to go with a PRO or TEP, ultimately she went with the TEP, but got some PRO features. Our son and I just took delivery for her since she left two weeks ago for deployment in Afghanistan.

So her goal was to have a capable vehicle to ensure we can all adventure together, first family trip when she returns is from Buffalo, NY to Prudhoe Bay, AK. Tentative route:

So this will document my progress on the evolution of her 4Runner, and a place to share our adventures.

Join me on this adventure and hopefully we do something great!

Yeah me too! I went in on the group buy too, Chas at MRT said he had one ready to ship the next day and he would email me the tracking number...since then he's been mia, tried calling and email, no response....oh well, I'll keep waiting patiently...I'm sure they are busy.

Think some things I was planing for the runner may have changed...just picked this up tonight, unbelievable condition for a NY metal trailer from 1967! Got it from retired army fella that used it for camping. Wanted me to buy his CP tent but I don't have a need for that. Great guy fun to talk and even had a few brews. Like I said may change what I was thinking about doing to the runner, some things may be unnecessary now.

I was on another successful group buy!
And I mounted new shoes.

Trailer waiting for dry weather to get trailer to to blaster and home. Ordered new suspension bits from vintage jeeps, great communication with them to ensure I was getting right items.

Do not have KDSS, it was something I didn't want the hassle of failing or the headache of trying to modify with it. And was cheaper without!

No more trailer pics, but I am working on a rear storage platform so secure items in the runner. That I hope to have done this month! Work and son are taking all my time with mom gone.

My boy is on spring break next week and we are taking our first camping trip in the 4Runner. Hope weather isn't bad in Kentucky next week [emoji57] Mounted the Tepui and the ARB awning.

Work has been slow on the trailer, but some how I have racked up 11,000 miles on my "wifes" 4runner, don't think she will be happy. Lol

KY trip: Ft Knox, mammoth cave, corvette museum, land between the lakes and a few other stops. Great trip and looking forward to our next adventure end of this month.
