Yep... congrats on the new toy!
front and rear aluminum bumpers, as high clearance and minimalistic as possible! Especially the rear, build one where the bumper doesn't hang down behind the rear tire 6"+. Angle it up or just go straight back to a minimal rear bumper. Maximum departure angle! Some of us dont need tire carriers and gas cans and ladders! We just want stronger than stock bumpers for Houston traffic... lol just my .02

Go build something... lol
 
Another vote for possible aluminum stuff, especially a rack. I still haven't decided to splurge on a Gobi or Baja and would love to see a nice looking aluminum design out there.
 
I vote for an aluminum, slim style front bumper and reasonably priced aluminum rock sliders.

I have been looking out for a tubular aluminum full length rack similar to the gobi...

Sounds like it may be worth your while based on the other comments here as well. Do it! :thumb3:
 
Congrats on the new rig!

Yes, a low profile, no rise aluminum roof rack option! No drill option similar in length to the 7/8 Prinsu racks.

You messed it up already, it looks like it's made of steel! We voted for aluminum anything and everything. We may need to vote you off the island.
Living in the Midwest "rust belt", minimizing rust whenever and wherever you can is a must. I do like the look of the mount in all seriousness!

Sounds like you'd want them to make it from fiber-reinforced polymer then. All the Rust Belt vehicles I have seen seem to rot away no matter what. Aluminum just rots in it's own special way. There's not too much you can really do in those regions.

I'm not sure what it will be made out of to be honest. We discussed stainless but I'm not sure yet.

Oh and it's a CB antenna mount.

I'm guessing you're going to use counter-sunk screws to retain it from the looks of the bracket. Not a horrible idea. Just be aware that the bumper skin is not that thick so it may not be a very solid mounting that way unless you're using a backing plate with nuts/thread to clamp it from the inside (Not sure how easy it is to reach up back in there without removing the bumper).

But it's a prototype, so I won't spoil the fun of trying it out and seeing what works and what doesn't. :D

It's actually v2 and there is a backing plate. We had one of our customers test v1 but the antenna hit when the hatch was opened so we made adjustments.
