Weathertech Floor Mats any good?

Looking to replace my stock crappy little flimsy carpeted floor mats. Have been looking at the different ones and I'm leaning towards weathertech for their style, durability, and fitment. I have seen mixed reviews, some saying they don't fit perfectly while others swear by them. Anyone have any personal experience with them or recommend any other floor mat? I do like the lips, I think it looks good and saves my floors from spills. These are mostly just to protect my floors from mud and water and have an easy way to remove and clean. These are so damn expensive, but I don't mind spending a little extra for a great product that lasts the lifetime of my t4r. Thanks in advance!

Personally, I'm a huge fan of my husky liners. But I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I've heard good things about the Husky liners, the only thing I have seen is that they tend to "curl" at the edges over time. But I like my digifit weathertechs in my 4Runner.

I had the Husky liners in my Xterra years ago and we have them in our Sienna van right now. They were fine but the surface texture got really slippery when wet. The WeatherTech seem to fit better and have a more coarse surface, sort of like spray-on bedliner. I've got them in my T4R and previously had a set in my Tundra.

The price really hurts but you can occasionally find them on some pretty awesome sales....but it's a kind of random occurrence. I wouldn't have paid full price for them back when I got a front/rear set for my Tundra. Once I got them though I see where the extra money goes.....

I have Weathertechs too and they fit ok, kind of loose/gappy on the sides but I like the lip. They stain so don’t expect them to stay real nice. I had some t-case fluid leak on my rear mat which ruined them.

Husky are good too, I sometimes swap the ones I have depending on the mess I plan to encounter. You really can’t go wrong with either - cost is the difference.

I opted for the all weather floor mats over the Floor Liner model, and love them. They're rubber vs plastic (I think that's what the Floor Liner model is made of), so they don't move around. They're also really easy to clean and fit perfectly.

First thing I do for any new vehicle is get Weathertech mats all around. I had read reviews about the front passenger mat "slipping" on the 4th gen T4Rs, which made me nervous, considering I did not have that issue in my 3rd gen T4r, GX470, G37, or FX50... but I ordered them, anyway. Pleased to report that I do not experience the same "slipping" issue in mine that others have reported. I say jump on 'em.

I've had my Weathertechs since almost day one. They keep their shape just fine but I cannot get the stains out of mine no matter what kind of scrub or brush or soap.

12 years, stain is OK.

Advice

100% recommend weather-tech, but do want to make a few points before going any further -

-- (I don't own husky liners, but know a few friends who have them and witnessed firsthand) --

1) I think the weather-techs are better looking than the husky liners, but I find the huksy to grip better and not be as 'flat'
2) The weather-techs also curl, you can mend them back to their shape with a heat gun and some maneuvering
3) The weathertechs are a PITA to clean. the best method I found:
- Remove the liners
- Blast with a pressure washer
- Apply soap and brush with a carpet/tire brush
- Blast with pressure washer again
- Wipe down and then let the rest air dry
- Apply Aerospace LIGHTLY (too much will make it very slippery) but this step is important as the weathertechs will look dried out now. I believe they also sell a chemical on their own site for this, seems to do the same.

4) the front driver side ones will not hold water if you brake, so if they're pretty flooded make sure you drain them as soon as possible or the water will go under the chairs (seems obvious but ask me how I know)

5) the trunk liners are in two versions, the full version will not sit well on the double deck one. Keep this in mind especially if you use the double deck system. I got the first one and opted for the smaller one after that looks much better and works with the deck up or down.

Memory serves me reading about using Scrubbing Bubbles shower cleaner to clean Weathertech mats. Have not tried it myself though...

I put WeatherTech Floor Liners in every vehicle. I've had good luck cleaning them with Simple Green and a scrub brush. I always get the lighter colors, too as they don't show every little, dusty footprint.

I had my first set of weathertechs in my 2010 tundra and they were one of the best things i purchased for that truck. Our Tahoe, not a fan. They dont fit well. Probably has to do with the fact that there are no anchors.

Functionally, they're great mats but the passenger side fit on mine is a joke. Very disappointing given all the digital laser measurement talk. Called and they suggested laying it out with a heavy box or something on top. Really? All your NASA-quality fitment and you're telling customers to crush them to get the right fit? Three times now, including an overnighter with 3/4 plywood and a full recycle bin on top, and a day later the huge gaps return.

Maybe I'll try the heat gun.

OP, if you buy them and have gaps, I would return them while in warranty because they're likely not going to change.

On a happier note, Scrubbing Bubbles clean them quite well.
