weathertech or huskyliners?

Ordered my black WeatherTechs on 5/28 from their website, order shipped on 5/30 from Lenexa, KS and arrived to my location in SoCal just a couple of minutes ago. Saaaweeeeeeeeet!

They are very nice! I'm sure the Huskies are nice but I personally like the WeatherTech design patterns much bettter. They look very professional and the coverage is pretty good. The second row could have a little more coverage on the sides but it's ok. I also purchased the cargo liner and does a good job covering the back area. There is a lip at the end of the cargo liner its just the camera angle made it look flat. Here are some of my pics...

I got mine from suspension connection. If you are planning on using the factory clips for the mats don't plan on it. They dont match up extremely well. They took a while because it was over Memorial Day holiday. It took about a week. I will put up pictures soon.

Mine arrived today. My factory clips matched perfectly, unless we are talking about two completely different things. You were referring to the 2 clips on the floor of the drivers side correct?

Radar detector. Haven't had it hardwired because I only use it on trips, so I ran it down the inside of the A column (under the "oh shit" handle) and then under the steering column so you can only see it as depicted in the picture.

I gotcha. Good idea about having a radar detecter. I have yet to get one. Btw, your WT's match up well with 4r.

Yeah I like them a lot. They look great, and worked amazingly when I went offroading. Cleanup was a breeze.

I see most people are choosing the back mats with gray interior. Do the gray mats not match up well with the gray interior?

I posted the grey on grey on page 1 of this thread. The picture was taking with my blackberry so its not the best, but it matches almost perfect. I do have to admit i do also like the color contrast with the black on grey too though. I just think the black would show tons more dirt as well. I dunno, i think its just personal pref.

In my situation I had previously purchased gray WT's for my wife's minivan (Toyota Sienna). They look fine, they match up perfectly. But for my 4r I decided I wanted a bit more of a manly color combo. So I went with the Black WT for my gray interior. gmgarman is right, the black's do show up more dirt (see my previous photos), but what the heck, they are floor liners and look awesome. Don't be a girly girl and get gray. JUST KIDDING! :dancin: Either should be fine.

How does that liner work with the shelf? Can you put the shelf down with the liner in place? Will the liner fit on top of the shelf when the shelf is down?

Will probably leave the shelf down, trying to decide which WT liner to get. Thanks!

Yea you basically can set the shelf down right on top of the liner or you can put the liner on top of the shelf when the shelf is down. In the latter, the lip of the liner closest to the back door will kind of slope down because of the shorter length of the top shelf over the bottom of the cargo area. Not a big deal but may want to be careful if you have something that'll leak. WT do make one that fits it when the shelf is laid flat but to me you only use it like that if the shelf is laid flat. So I just went with this bigger one and if needed put the shelf down and the liner on top it works out well.

Great news, I hoped it would work that way, even if there are some trade-offs :bigok:

The weathertechs look far superior compared to the husky liners. I think I might have to order up a full set of black ones for my 4Runner! (I like the color contrast of the black ones better vs. the grey ones)

In addition to the protection of the carpet, do the Weathertech (or Husky for that matter) pretty much stop stuff from sliding around?
