i had to get rid of my weathertech in channel visors. My rear windows (both passenger and driver side) keep falling out on a daily basis, and its not like I use the window alot. This has also happened on my previous vehicles too. I know weathertech is good at replacing them, but i'm just tired of doing it every year or so.
I considered the AVS stick ons, but they were too low profile for me.
So i decided to go with Wellvisors for these reasons:
Pros:
1. they are less expensive than AVS and weathertech.
2. they offer ALOT of coverage (may not be your style) which I like. Reminds me of the JDM flavor. They are double the size of weathertech.
3. uses double sided tape and clips.
4. they use thick and rigid plastic. Its thicker than AVS and weathertech.
5. less wind noise than the weathertech, about the same as the AVS. Thats due to the weathertech going pass your side mirrors, whereas AVS and wellview stop before it.
HUGE Con:
1. View through it is very distorted, unlike the weathertech. Luckily, its not in your line of sight, but if you look through it alot, you will get the circus mirror vibe. If i didn't really love the JDM style, this would probably make me send it back. It's super duper annoying and cheapens the overall product.
2. the clips are kind of gimmicky. If the tape fails, there is no way those clips will keep your visors in place.
3. while they fit perfectly, i had to clean out the holes for the clips with a pocket knife. The holes were either not punched out, or had so much burrs around it, the clips wouldn't sit flush. Kind of annoyed by this, I shouldn't have to use a pocket knife to install anything this day and age.
Conclusion:
I would recommend this ONLY IF you love this kind of style. Otherwise, id go with AVS low profile stick ons, and if you insist on in channel, then weathertech (allthough, ive given up on them).
Anyways, i dont have alot of pics to compare. I trashed the weathertechs during the last time they fell out of my rear window.
