WeatherTech Visor Install??

Does anyone with WeatherTech side window visors have a problem with the auto-up on their driver-side window? I'm just installing mine now and they seem really tight... Auto-up senses the resistance and re-opens the window. The visors seem to be seated as best they can be in the window channel. Any tips or similar experiences?

I have installed the in-line visors by Weathertech, although I don't have the auto-up window feature like yours. On the first few attempts, they can be tight against the weatherstripping and appears to have alot of resistance with the window's up. Mine was like that at first, but now they just glide open and closed.

I'm pretty sure every vehicle with the auto-up window feature has the option of being able to be operated manually without completely shutting the windows closed.

I guess that I'll just see if it gets better over the next couple of days... maybe it'll compress the weatherstripping. I don't remember having any issues like this on my Gen3, but I think that the Gen4 has thicker seals.

Weathertech recommends keeping your windows up for 12 hours if you have the auto up feature.

Thanks... I got the windows fully closed by pulling outward the visors and am letting them sit.

Just an update...

The WeatherTech window visors are now fitting perfectly! Letting them sit for a few days definitely helped to alleviate the tightness, but I still had kind of a scratchy sound when the windows rode against the front visors. I took them out and polished the surfaces that contact the window. I used sandpaper from 360 to 1200 grit to chamfer the bottom edges, knock off any mold/machining marks, and create an extremely smooth surface. It took about 15 minutes to do the fronts and now the windows function like the visors aren't even there. :reddance:
