Website suggestions

Two suggestions for imporving the website:

1. Add a "Quick Reply" box at the end of threads.

2. Add the feature where you see the first few lines of a post just by holding your mouse over the thread title in the forum. Kinda like tool tips on windows. (I believe YotaTech has this feature)

Ok, I lied.

Three suggestions.

3. Regional Forums. Examples would be Northeast, Southeast, North Central, South Central, etc.

I believe both those features are part of the latest greatest version of vBulletin - one of these days I'll get around to updating the version of vBulletin currently running on this site, however I personally kind of like this version better. We will be moving to a new server in the next month or two, so I'll probably wait until after that gets done.

As for the regional sub-forums, we had a couple set up when we first started this site - but I think Thai got rid of it cuz of lack of participation and to help clean up the clutter. Now that we have a lot more members I'll see if he's interested in doing it again.

As for the subforums, i am not a big fan of it...simply, it creates too much clutter. To go from the top of the forum to bottom will take forever. Gatorgreg and I had those regional subforums on another forum...and i did not like it.

However, like GG said, with more people on the forum, i am OK (but not thrilled) with the idea.

I don't know about that....I think they should have posted a few minutes sooner than they did.

imo sub forums kinda isolates everyone. right now everyone contributes to the same top forum, so you get a mix from around the country. if you go regional sub forums, now i have to look thru 4 seperate forums if i am looking for an answer.
