so my weekend is Monday, Tuesday.
just got last Monday, a 2000 T4R SR5

starting tonight im gonna :
flush tranny, change filter, install B&m 70264, bypass radiator
new stereo
window visors ( but im only putting them on fronts,dont like the way they look on backs)
bug deflector (not a big fan of,, but I work in the snow area with cinders on roads for ice, so front of last Toyota corolla took a real beating with rock chips)
new pcv valve
clean Maf and throttle body
new fuel filter


then 2 weeks from now put on big tundra brakes on fronts, think Ill go oem rotors not sure of pads yet

then before summer ends , do a preventive LBJ replacement using OEM

the car has been very well maintained by previous owner and lots of records, did not see any reference to fuel filter ever changed or pcv valve
Ive read enough of pink milkshake to warrant the cooler current radiator according to records is 5 years old installed by dealer. Don't see any records of a filter change
and while the brakes are fine, I drive a lot in the high cascade mountains (where I work) and while the brakes felt fine in town, lot of fade in the mountains

but before I get started need to run back to town for some wrench lubricant

last night got the radio in, that went easy
put the door visors on

now to start on the "hard" stuff today
think ill sea-foam the engine at the pcv valve, since im replaceing it anyway, got to take the hose off

Get a new PCV valve grommet, your existing one will probably come apart once you remove the valve
 
Does anyone have a pic of the PCV valve and were it's located. I want to clean my MAF (found that) and replace the PCV valve also, just to be sure but not sure where it is on my 2001 SR5.

all done

I did not know that the trans filter on these cars is a re-usable one and they did not have a gasket but just silly-cone
so I will take the new filter and gasket back to the store in the morning

car ran great after it blew out all the junk from cleaning throttle body, maf , new fuel filter and air filter and sea-foam then new pvc

now to start planning brakes....big fat tundra ones
