We went away for a week and left the 4Runner in the garage it was not driven for 9 days. When I went into the garage, there was a very strong chemical smell like airplane glue or PVC cement.
The entire garage smelled this way. I drove to work, and the smell inside the truck dissipated. However, when I walked up to the truck, I could smell it outside.
When driving it, there is no smell from the vents. But if I leave it overnight in the garage, the airplane glue smell fills the garage by the morning. It is definitely not a gasoline or exhaust smell. Any ideas? I am completely baffled.
