Ok, this is kind of random. Normally if I leave my headlights on, exit the car, and lock with the keyless twice it turns the headlights off automatically. This just stopped working today. I now have to manually turn off the headlights as it appears they are no automatically turning off anymore. They will not even turn off after 30 seconds after closing all doors. Any ideas?

check the switch position
There are several positions for the headlight switch. All do different things. ON, OFF, Auto, Driving Lights. Probably you have the switch ON, and it takes a while for them to shut down automatically

Yes we have the same year and make vehicle and my lights function as yours used to - with the light switch "on" then the headlights would go off after the second press of the remote button or 30 seconds after shutting all the doors. You obviously have a malfunction that should be repaired under warranty. Let us know about you adventures with getting this fixed.

Are you by chance turning on your headlights after you exit your truck or do you just leave the switch on the "on" position the entire time? A couple of times, I turned the lights off by accident and then turned them on when the key was out, forgetting about the auto off feature.The lights do not turn off automatically when you turn the lights on with the truck off. The only time mine turn off after 30 seconds is when I turn the switch to the "on" position when the key is turned to on or when my truck is running. If you ride with your parking lights, then they go off when the driver door is open. Once again, you cannot turn them on after the truck is off. If that is not your case, sounds like you have to bring it in.
Thanks man, you were exactly right! I feel like an idiot. Apparently last night when I got in my truck I turned my lights on before putting the key in the ignition. Then when I got home and attempted to lock, I was very confused why the lights wouldn't go off. As I attempted to diagnose the problem I kept doing my experiment without the key in the "on" position, simply duplicating what I did last night. I read that exact section in the owner's manual but apparently I didn't extract enough information. Thanks again, this forum is definitely a valuable resource!
