Weird rumble when driving

Well story is I am looking at buying a 89 4runner because I have always wanted one, I found one that may be a bit of a project as for body work.

As for my problem, the engine and everything seems good except for when I took it for a test drive there was a pretty good rumble/ vibration from front passenger side mostly my buddy in the side could feel it alot, were as I felt/heard it as we were driving on those highway rumble strips all the time....

I was thinking it was the ball bearings were shot, but I figured that would have been more of a squealing.

Any ideas would be appreciated I am going to go look at it again tomorrow maybe try to narrow it down.

~ Edit, forgot to add does this sound like a deal breaker? for a 1500 OBO with 289 000 km on it (Canadian truck)

Im pretty sure I can get it for cheaper if I can figure out whats going on with it before I purchase it.

Could be a bad tire, or simply be out of alignment. Check for uneven tire wear.

Ya that was the first thing I said when my buddy was saying it felt to him like the 4runner was going to fall apart.

Ill be going to take a closer look at it in an hour, So I can take more of a look Ill post up if she's good to go

Well just checked it out, seems to be more of a parts truck then anything... universal is shot, almost sounds like rear diff may be going to + the front end problem deffinitly not worn tire

So this 4runner is still up forsale. but now just OBO so I can probly get it pretty cheap.

as far as new front axle replace/ rear diff probly what would this run me? Ide have to get it done by some one.

trying to see if it would be even worth my time.

dude, im from edmonton also... if you're looking to buy a sick 4runner you should buy this one that is listed for sale on 780tuners...

its got SAS, dual cases, chevy v6 swapped engine, 33inch boggers, and he is only asking $4500!!!

If you are notdoing the work yourself lots of 4 will be spent on a t4r. New drive axles will $500 installed easy, New brakes can eat up $500 if they replace a lot of stuff. T4r'scan be high maintenance.

they also can be maintenance free. i drive my 87 4runner like i stole it, shifting at 4500+, runnin things over, (she has seen air time a few times) and just having fun while i can, and she still drives in a strait line, runs smooth and has no problems. i like to say my truck is a slut. she takes anything and keeps on smiling
