Welcome to the new server

'
Wait your the admin and didn't no the site was down for almost 6 days now? I don't blame thai at all for his tone i think a lot of people have been frustrated with the forum glitches.

I emailed the addy and all that happened was they were sent back to me.

im psyched that the forum is back up!

My role as an admin is to provide free hosting of this site, as well as as much server/software support as I can physically provide. I don't pretend to run a professional hosting service, and thus don't actively monitor the site. Before, this site was on the same server as some other sites I run, so it was easier to monitor just one server.

Right now t4r has its own server, so I don't monitor it as much. Now that the communication line has been fixed, I hope there won't be any issue in me being alerted when things go sour.

Always some glitches when major changes are made, glad the site is back up!

Yes, same as the old Tundrasolutions.com, I like it!

I was beginning to wonder what the problem was :D. Nonetheless, glad the site's back up. I do like the updated version.

Thanks Daniel, I was sending emails to the subie site :D since that's where you seemed to be sending your messages from lately. I saw the problems you were having with Honda so I just figured you were being kept busy with that stuff.

Gotcha that makes sense

Yes, seems that it was down. Weird that no one contacted me. Some database issues, I'm keeping a close eye.

FYI, I sent MULTIPLE EMAILS using the link on the "Database Error" page.

EVERY SINGLE ONE was returned with the following message:

<[email protected]>:
Sorry, I wasn't able to establish an SMTP connection. (#4.4.1)
I'm not going to try again; this message has been in the queue too long.

Looks like SOMEONE may have had the WRONG email setup on the "Database Error" Page when a user clicks on the link.
>>>>>> [email protected] unless "example.com" is another domain used by toyota-4runner.org.

Glad the site is back but 5-6 days being down.
I guess some forum members expect the site to be a reliable as our 4Runners and have been VERY, VERY, VERY, DISAPPOINTED during this recent outage.
I know I have.

Hopefully the owner and admin have learned from their mistakes and have taken corrective action to insure that this does not happen again.

FYI, I have had a web site for the last 14+ years so I know that a site can take a LOT of Time and money to keep running.
I also know first hand that there are good web hosts and not so good web hosts.
My current web host has been GREAT and is inexpensive compared to their competition.

lol I noticed the same thing, I was going to write a quick note to admin to get off their ass and fix it but then I noticed the "example.com" extension and didn't really think it was a real email address!!

Ease up on our Admin

Be happy everything is up and running and that it is still free. I dont know what you all are getting nuts at......

Thanks Admin for the upgraded goods. Although I emailed you as well and it did get sent back to me. Database error or something like that.

All is well that ends well.

Over this past weekend when I got the "Database Error" message again, I noticed that the email address STILL is using "example.com". :(

Apparently the admin has not had a chance to change this yet.

early this evening there was an unable to access server error for a few hours, hope it doesnt keep returning. thanks for fixing.

Yep, I'm on top of it. The server hangs, trying to figure out why. I use a 3rd party service that notifies me as soon as the server is down, and I restart it almost right away.

Mods or Admin:
Another active thread (about transmissions) that is missing info prompted me to look at some of my old threads. All the posts and info is there but the pictures aren't (they look like dead links with a red X.) Can the links to the pics be restored? Is this situation on all old threads since the conversion? Check the link in my signature to find the threads I'm talking about.

I believe the culprit of frequent crashes has been identified and necessary measures taken (corrupt database table). Let's hope the site stays up for a while now.

admin.

Can you check if it's better now?
