Can you check if it's better now?

Finally got a chance to check this out on another computer. I don't think it's a forum issue because I can see the pics while viewing on IE6 but not at home on IE8. I need to play with some settings.

So on that note... Does anyone out there know what settings should be changed so that the pics in this forum show instead of the red X box?

IE8 is notorious for not interpreting some HTML code correctly. Use FireFox or even better, Chrome.

BTW, they could be in your IE6 cookies/cache

For whats its worth I have the same problem...post the soultion here if you find a fix.

Bottomline solution: uninstall IE8 and revert back to IE7.

Checked all the settings I could think of but still nothing. Put in a MS Support call (there is free support for IE8 until the end of '09.) They tried resetting and updating everything via a shared desktop but the bottomline after almost an hour was to uninstall IE8. I'll try reinstalling in the future when an updated version is released.

Not really that hard. Hit all the settings I could and when that didn't work I went to the Help. That eventually led to the call to MS Support. I felt bad for the rep at the other end in Mumbai, India. All he could do was keep trying all the obvious items and apologizing profusely.

Latest update is IE9 and the IE8 problem carries over.
Did some research on this and the answer is actually pretty simple yet time consuming.
There is obviously a compatability issue between IE8 (and later) vs. prior IE versions. You need to replace the pictures using the latest browser.
Found some time today so I started editing posts and reloading all the pictures. Need to do this with all my previous posts. (I'll be selective and only do any that have recent activity.)
