Weld together front bumper kit?

Would be interested in the 2nd Gen front and possible rear if possible. And also depends on how bad shipping would be to NC. Or have the T4R logo or other than can be chosen in the front.

I think I would go with a toyota logo over a T4R logo as it would fit the pickups as well, no need to narrow your target market. I think it would be a great idea, lots of people have welders, not to many with heavy brakes and plasma capabilities though. I would suggest the upper tube portion be optional, and would also like to see a 2nd gen version. Nice looking bumper!

Thats why I said have other logos that can be chose to fit other rides.

Thanks for all the feedback.

Since there has been a good response to this idea, we have decided to go ahead and produce a front bumper that fits the 1st and 2nd gen t4r that will also fit the 2nd and 3rd gen trucks.

There is enough difference between body styles that two different kits will be offered.
I am going to start the process on the 1st gens next week, and the 2nd gens the following week. I can get a weight and shipping dimensions for you guys then.
We are looking forward to getting these out to you guys.
Thanks, Steve.

is it just me or do the fog lights look to be way off center? id be interested in a front for an 85 minus the out side bars. i like the center.

I have the prototype done for the 1st gen runners and 2nd gen trucks, here's some pics. There's no tubing on it, as that will be an option.

The front bottom portion is cut out to fit around my rec. hitch but I think I would like to make this a triangular hole with the bottom of the bumper being continous, that way the customer could just cut the strip out of the bottom if they decided to use a hitch like I have.

Probably going to have to trim the grill a little to get the winch to fit with out rubbing the grill.

We weighed the prototype at 66 pounds with the mounting brackets which puts shipping at or below $50 to anywhere in the lower 48.
We will know pretty soon what the end price will be but it looks like it's going to come in the $300 range as anticipated.
Thanks, Steve.

Steve,

I think you bumper looks pretty good. I'm seriously interested in one for my 1st Gen, with:
1) receiver;
2) would prefer T4R logo.

I wonder how it would work with my skid plate?

Thx,
Jon

That's the great thing about this bumper is you are putting it together, so any mods that need made, can be. Once I get one on an unmutilated truck we should be able to tell for sure. :D

We plan to put a receiver option in with these bumpers, haven't decided on the logo yet.

Count me in. If I have to figure out a different skid plate or modify mine I'm okay with that.

Thx

I'm kinda surprised to see this much interest from the 2nd gen guys. Any design changes from what's in the pics for either model?

i would be interested 2nd gen also if we get enough interest how about a group buy ????????????????????????/:bravo:

and do you need a volunteer for a 2nd gen? still have stock bumper unmolested runner you could even keep your logo and get me some stickers

I'd be very interested in a bumper for a Gen1 ---> receiver option, without logo

I just bought a new Warn M8000 winch and hope I could be one of your testers as well...

If you build a similar one for a 2nd gen ill buy it. If you make a cool sheet metal rear for 2nd gen, ill buy that too. Ill even rock the logo! :thumb3:

I got the prototype done earlier this week for the 88-95 trucks and 90-95 T4R's. I didn't cut the holes and openings out for sake of hurrying the process along, they will be similar to the model for the earlier trucks.
We weighed the 1st gen model at 66 pounds with out tubing, this bumper is a little bigger so maybe 70-75 pounds, we will know for sure once we get one cut out.

I would like to get a couple out there to test the fit and assembly instructions, so we will be in touch.
We are more than likely just going to do an introductory price once we get it all ironed out.:thumb3:
