Welder Needed in DFW

HF has some serious cheap stuff, and if anyone is in a trade or the like for their profession, I'd recommend the best tools one can buy and stay clear of HF except for C clamps and the like.

With that said, I'd get the 220 HF Mig as a good starter welder. HF products seem to fail within 120 days or keep going forever. Plus, if you aren't going to be a welding fanatic, it should suit your needs just fine. My neighbor's eight year old HF torque wrench is as spot on as my Snap On.

If you want to save a couple of more pennies, look to buy a Lincoln or Hobart. Both have excellent resale value on CL or the like if you want to get rid of it. But if you plan to keep the welder, the HF is just fine.
