I look at the RL forum once in a while, the old info and links to problems and fix-its are great.
I'm planning on buying a better mpg car in about 2 years and you guys have really got me thinking it's time to own an acura.
So far so good, it's a nice driving car. Taking a bit to get used to sitting so low though, I feel like my butt is dragging asphalt.
We really like our 2012 TSX wagon, but we end up putting more miles on the 4Runner because it seems we always need either the additional space of the 4Runner, the towing capabilities, four wheel drive, or have to haul dirty/grimy stuff, so the 30+MPG Acura just sits in the garage!

On the rare occasion that we do drive the Acura, we really enjoy it and are getting 35 MPG highway, well over the EPA estimate.
I basically looked at your exact car when I bought this one. In fact, I would've bought it, but the wife is just not a big wagon person and I couldn't get her over that hump. I really like the looks of them though, looks great!
I'm a fan of how it looks--Acura only makes 4,000 TSX Wagons per year while Toyota sells that many Camry's every 7 hours. I like that it is a little unique. The key on the TSX is to not opt for the technology package, which makes the car less expensive than a 4 cylinder Accord with leather. A Tech Package TSX is in the mid-30s, which I think is a lot for what is essentially a european Honda Accord Tourer.
Let's see...Acura Tech Package for $3,600 or my $199 Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 with $9 CoPilot Live Premium with free updates? Hmm...there's a toughy.

Nice setup man, I like that.
Do you need to be connected to some sort of data for that to work? Or will a simply GPS connection work? I have a Nexus 10 and my kids both have Nexus 7's, so this would work, but I only got the wifi ones. I could use my phone to tether as a mobile hot spot I guess, but just curious.
The great thing about this setup is you can save the CoPilot maps on the internal SD card and you do not need 3G/4G data unless you want to use the live traffic feature, in which case you would tether to your phone. Poor iPad users....no SD card slot, no internal GPS, no iPhone tethering and a huge price tag!!
I also use Backcountry Navigator with USGS topo maps loaded on the SD card for offroading and it works superb, even under heavy tree cover in the forest. I don't know how Samsung can manage to sell these for $179, I would pay $500+ for this if I had to.
Feel free to ask any questions you have about it. I have my tablet in a leather RooCase bookstand case, which folds nicely and the tablet sits in the raised TSX screen area very nicely. For some reason the Acura USB port in the center console won't power it (it's probably 500mA while the tablet requires 1 amp), so you'll need to use one of those USB cigarette lighter adapters for power.
That's really cool man, I like that a lot. I rarely find the need for navigation, but that would be a sweet setup for the times I do!
I love my Nexus 10, but I honestly find myself liking my kids' 7's better, I just love the size of them, great products.
I agree, I had the "new" iPad before this 10 and the Xoom before that and there is no comparison to me, I'm actually mad at myself for even trying the iPad. My wife likes hers, but hell, all she does is read books and play games.
Sorry, I was assuming you did not already have a tablet, I thought the Nexus was a phone, I get it now. Your Nexus does not appear to have an SD card slot but it has a huge internal memory, so you're good for map storage. You might have a little more trouble trying to store USGS maps for offroad travel, but you'll have no trouble with the map storage for CoPilot Live. Get CoPilot, you'll love it.
On another subject, how is your TSX doing for mileage? We were originally leaning toward the newly redesigned Ford Fusion, it is a super nice car and with the ecoboost engine it is rated at 23 city 36 highway compared to the TSX's 20 city/ 30 mpg highway. That extra 6 mpg of the Fusion nearly swayed us that way. Ultimately, the wagon aspect of the TSX won and it's getting way over the EPA estimate. We are getting 35 mpg on the freeway and the daily commute (mostly highway) averages 31 mpg. If you cycle through the menus you can check the car's overall gas mileage since new and it's showing 30.8 mpg...that's really impressive!!

The car just turned 5,000 miles this week, so perhaps the mileage will trickle up a little more as it breaks in.
But, here around town, I consistently get in the low to mid 20's, which again, seems pretty solid to me. I have a short commute to work, so my engine hardly even warms up.
