Called around and found a place that installs the Webasto Hollandia sunroofs, will do it for 1038 plus tax here in Fort Worth. Mama said I could do it, since she goes back to work in a week (been off 6 weeks with the new baby) and when she goes back to work I'll never see that 4Runner again lol. So, now's my last chance for Lord knows how long to get it done.

Can't wait, I'm stoked!!! My first real mod to my new rig!!

I'm gonna see if they can take pics along the way too and email them to me, I'm uber curious as to how it is done and what it looks like as they are tearing the car apart and cutting the hole, and I'm sure you guys would love to see it too.

I'll call Monday morning and try to set it up for the following day, they said they'd have it a full day and have it done early the next. Hopefully they'll be able to do it Tuesday. If not, as soon as they can get it in there will be best I can do. I can't wait!!!

The Hollandia 700 Series roof, from what I've seen here, and from what the installer is going to use, is one of the best sunroofs out there. It's aftermarket, and bigger than the stock unit, and has less problems from what I can gather. So, guess it was a blessing that we didnt get one with a stock sunroof and I can have this one installed that's bigger, and it has a LIFETIME warranty, whereas the factory one is warranteed just as long as the car itself. Can't beat that!

Sounds like a good plan and hope you have a first rate installer when you have someone using a Sawzall on your sheet metal.

Thankfully and knock wood I have had no sunroof issues on my 06.

Called em up today and I'm scheduled to drop off the Runner on Wednesday morning, and pick it up sometime Thursday. Gettin really excited now!!! :biggrin2:

Well we are going to leave early so we can drop it off right at 8AM and I can get back, and on to work without being too late.

Body shop called today and said my Ram should be done tomorrow and I should have it back by tomorrow evening. It's been in the body shop for a month and a half due to the hail damage it sustained a little over two months ago. Which means I will have to drop off the rental tomorrow too. Then Thursday I get the 4Runner back from the sunroof place.

Going to be a busy couple days car wise LOL.

If this sunroof is as awesome as I'm hoping it will be, maybe I'll put one in my Ram as well, just with the vent and slide back option since it's a single cab truck. Cant have the type that drops down and opens like the one that's going in the 4Runner. I will ask them about those when get there to get an idea of what would be available for the ol Ram....

Some before shots, sorry, it's dark out and it's about the ONLY time I have anymore (two kids, work 9 hrs a day six days a week, yippee) so shots suck but that's all I got for now. I may try to get a few more in the morning while we are trying to get it dropped off.....

Well it's dropped off, and they didnt want to mess with pics of the process because number one, they dont have a digital camera there, and two, they didnt want to be responsible for keeping up with mine in the shop (plus it really didnt want to leave it lol)

They should have the interior stripped out today, and tomorrow morning I have a PDR guy that's going to fix a few dents in the roof, a couple that landed RIGHT on the line where the seal was going to go, and a couple farther back near the cargo area.

And one thing I learned, is that the headliner is custom, and glued in, instead of being suspended with clips like factory, so they said if I was to have the dents fixed, it had to be now, or else they would have to tear the whole headliner back out and re-do it to get at the roof skin. So, hail storms will be CRITICAL to keep out of I guess. Wish I knew this before, but it's not a really big deal........

Anyway, it'll be done maybe tomorrow evening, but planning more like Friday morning/afternoon sometime. I cant wait!!!

I wish mine looked that way. I hate the loss of head room with the factory sun roof. If I could have found a Limited wo/sunroof when I bought mine I would have jumped all over it.
