Really? I still see no kidding, at least 2 or 3 each way on my 4 mile commute. And they're always different ones. JKs are the new bro vehicle.

Definitely depends on where you live. Here in Colorado there are a lot of Jeeps, but a ton of 4Runners too. 2 or 3 each way? Heck, almost every day I end up stuck at a light with 2 or 3 or more other 4Runners.

Ladder to reach running boards

I feel your pain. I have to get a ladder for my parents. With the new lift it's just too hard for them to get in and out. They're 91 and 89 yo. The rock sliders just don't cut it for them. They need a lot of help. I'm driving them to family events more often now as they decided to drive less.

I'm also a grandparent. I think my grandson will like my new "Monster Truck" lift and tires but they'll both need help getting in and out.

Being a parent is great. Urban running boards are a small sacrifice.

I live 2 miles from Toyota’s new North American headquarters. I see a ton of 4runners , I’d swear half the employees drive a 4Runner. Their are also an unreal number of Jeeps in the Dallas area. I say the Jeeps our number for runners 3 to 1.

Boring is good when you are expecting and immediately thereafter. We had an FJ cruiser until the first day I tried to put the new kiddo and infant seat into the FJ in a parking lot with cars on both sides. Traded in for a 4Runner that weekend.

The inevitable seems to be coming to this forum and being bored to tears... I find it really hard to read these days in general.

I also notice more 5th gens than JKs on the road now.... Could this be a coincidence?
