interesting fishing day.. ish..
So I had to pull this k5 blazer out today. He had been hot doggin it around nisqually river and messed around and ran across some deep ruts and broke his steering arm off at the knucle and some how sheared his rear axle shaft on the driver side... I think he was just being stupid with it and careless. We were on our way fishing when I see this blazer nose down in some grass and this guy climbing out wondering what happened.. Sure enough he had made it across one set of ruts and hit the high side and it stopped him dead in his tracks. So I get behind him and winch him out! I was amazed at how easy it was for that 10000lb smittybuilt winch to pull that blazer out with a dead front end and only one wheel spinning on the rear. Sure enough I got anchored in behind a rut in the middle of a mud puddle and winch him out. Then we proceed to drag him out of the mud hole he was in so he could maybe work on it. That was a nightmare.. But a steering arm, rear axle shaft, winch plate, some sweat, and 3 hours we finally got him back on dry land where he could work on his truck. He is spending the night in his truck tonight so no one will steal his crap..
Oh and my favorite part other than finally getting to use my winch.. There was a couple with an f250 with 18" rims and a/t tires and about a 4 inch lift that showed up to maybe help. As soon as they saw my runner hooked up to the k5 the chick started running her mouth to my wife saying that "lil runner aint gonna pull that big truck out... you want me to pull my husbands truck around?" after using no effort at all to get this guys k5 out my pregnant wife goes over and rubs it in her face.. It was freaking hilarious.. cuz this guy would barely get in the ankle deep mud hole we were in.. I was hoping he would get stuck and I would have to tow him out too.. Freaking people man..
