Yeah I kinda felt bad for any of the schmucks walking out with a brand new AR on their shoulder... you know they did not get anything that even resembled a good deal.

What's really surprising me is my inability to locate a simple Kel-tec PF-9. Most stores are OOS and the auction sites are all sold pending.

I did pick up a little Cobra Derringer .380 today just for sh_ts and giggles. It looks pretty neat and could back a decent backup. I think I did it just because I've been cockblocked on so many other purchases so far... lol

Also, if anyone comes across any good deals on .223 or 5.56 ammo, feel free to post it up here. I'm off to search for some accessories for now...

i'll let you know after i've ordered half their entire stock...hahaha...seriously though i'd spend this time buying reloading equipment and wait a bit for ammo prices to come down, ammo production will remain steady even if AWB goes through, right now isn't a good time for ammo, so i'm buying machines and tooling for now...

also picked up a kimber 1911 custom shop last week as well, very very nice!

I've looked into reloading and unless I'm missing something, a decent setup with the calibers I use will set me back a grand easily, before I pickup any materials. Let me know if you've found something different.

Congrats on the Kimber. My Kimber Eclipse Ultra II is by far my favorite gun - but it seems the lighter I get, the harder it is to conceal heavier guns, esp in FL. I'm hoping things get easier when we move to an area with colder climate.
 
Ammo is out of stock everywhere it seems... and those that have it are selling .223 for $1 per round or more. Man I feel like I missed out on a mini gold rush here... :doh:

oh yeah no doubt a grand by the time your done, i'm just piecing it together, everytime i want to go shooting i think about the 200~300 dollars it costs and then either buy something for my truck or reloading equipment instead.....sad times my friend ...sad times...

No worries man. Actually, I may hold off on the AK since I ordered 2x ARs. Good to know there's a decent place out there though... I'm sure they'd get some business from me. Interestingly enough, they use the same affiliate supplier as the range/shop that is closest to my house here. That's where I picked up that little .380 today. They told me they can't order anything though because they can't get any delivery dates at all.

Have you purchased any NFA items from them? I'm curious if Colorado is as lenient as Florida appears to be. I will probably end up setting up a trust and getting a few in the next couple of years (assuming still legal).

Today was a busy day... I ordered three new (inexpensive) firearms... a 30.06 rifle, new 12g shotgun, and finally my PF-9. I really just wanted the PF-9, but I couldn't pass up the deal on the shotty and the 30.06, and they combined shipping to my FFL and no CC fee. Now I'm trying to track down parts and accessories without breaking the bank. I'm not so sure that's possible anymore. :peep:

Oh and I ordered a birdshead grip for the ol' Mossberg 12g.

Edit - also, for anyone interested, my AR setups from DSArms ended up being about $725 shipped, each, but I'm on a 2-3 month wait. Still, it's a hell of a deal considering the market has gone completely mad. If you want part numbers or anything, just let me know.

What is the expected wait times ? Crap I need to pay attn. 3 months it seems.

I have 3 uppers on order from Alexander Arms a 50 Beowulf, 6.5, 17 HMR.
Long wait.
 
Yeah, they weren't exact but said 2-3 months, so probably expect 4 to be on the safe side. The reason I went that route is because they have not jacked up their prices. If things settle down before then I may cancel (they don't charge you until it ships), otherwise I'll have this huge grin on my face sometime in April/May.
 
After listening and reading-up the last couple days, it sounds like a Feinstein/ Obama-style AWB is very unlikely to make it out of the Senate. Most of the statements coming from even democrats mention very little about "assault weapons" they seem to be concentrating on magazine capacity and background checks. I'm pretty optimistic about this and glad to see the system of checks/ balances might actually work this time! :thumb3:

otherwise, i'm working over the younger brother in law to sell me his Ballester-Molina 1911 clone..don't he'll ever part with it though... i really like the fact they don't have the heel safety..that and it's got to be from the 50's or so as it's been passed down.
