Went with the Walker Quietflow muffler

I was in need of a muffler and after looking at the $400-600 Gibson and other cat back systems I ended up going with a Walkerflow SS muffler and tailpipe. It's my DD and I already have a Wrangler and a motorcycle for the fun stuff so I didn't need anything too loud & opted for something OEM-like.

It was a direct OEM replacement and everything matched up with the hangers absolutely perfect. (had to reorder the tailpipe because the flange was welded on poorly but it wasn't a big deal). Took about an 90 mins (would have been quicker if I had access to a lift) and had no problems whatsoever. Picked them at Advance Auto Parts on sale plus I have a $25 coupon code so I think everything with gaskets, springs, bolts, etc was out the door for about $260. The muffler is lifetime replacement so we'll see how it all holds up.

I went the same route when my original 03 exhaust/muffler rusted through.

The Walker Quiet-Flow SS muffler was the recommendation of my mechanic, with its direct fit installation and quality (their premium muffler).

Parts and labour were quite reasonable, and I too like the lifetime warranty.

If you are going to keep your 4Runner for an extended period of time, may as well use quality parts

Yea... Rusted from the inside out. The product of Buffalo winters and lots of short trips. I was kinda surprised myself. Got a lifetime warranty on this Walker so I'm hoping it holds up.

Anyone that went with this, what bolts did you use to connect the muffler and tail pipe flanges?

Also, I'm having the same issue where the weld inside the tail pipe has excess solder and won't allow the muffler and tail pipe to sit flush. Thinking of just using a Dremel and grinding it down.
