Just moved to san angelo and I see people with dirt bikes and jeeps and stuff on the weekends but I can't figure out where they're going wheeling.

Anyone in the area that wants to wheel/can fill me in?

Thanks!

I am originally from San Angelo. There used to be places to go at Twin Buttes lake on the north side but I think it has been fenced off. Not really any hills or anything but some dirt/mud tracks between the nort and south parts of the lake. There is an off road park between midland and Stanton off of I-20. It's ok. I think it's called outback off-road. You might check with the off road shop on Beauregard, West Texas off road I think, they can probably point you in the right direction. Hope this helps.

Do a google search, most likely it will bring you to a Jeep forum.

thanks for the help--san angelo is so small, and i've found that not a lot of businesses advertise on the internet. Driving around town really is the best way to find places like this but I'm only here for a short time so i want to experience as much as possible that west tx has to offer off-road.

I'll pop in there and see whats up.

I live in Odessa, not too far from you. I wanted to go to Guadalupe mountains for camping. Interested? Should be on Friday and/or Saturday.
