Westin ultimate bull bar or Defiant light bar

I definitely agree that the defiant looks better with more off road gear. I still think it looks good though, I would consider getting a small lift in the future but that is still a ways down the road. Something I was reading about bull bars is that they can multiply the damage in crashes, obviously the damage to the other car would be amplified but would my truck also receive more damage? Idk if the bars would bend backward or what or if the impact would cause frame damage since the bumper couldn't really squish and absorb the impact. But I do like how the westin puts more black on the front to help balance out all the gold...

both look good. one has a more off road form & function, the other just for street, i voted for the defiant tho because the westin sits 4-5 in. below the front bumper. heres a third choice for those that might want something smaller, hugs close to the bumper, & uses slimmer lights, you' ed have to find a used one tho cause a new one is alot $.

With just 2wd I definitely say the Westin. I personally prefer the full on grille guards like i have but I like the bull bar way better than the defiant light bar, unless you need the functionality of easily mounting 4 auxiliary driving lights.

I also like the look of the Westin much better. I guess it depends on what you need it for. How many lights do you really think that you are going to need? So i guess if its looks your after I would go for the Westin. For more offroad function the defiant seems the better choice.

Chaz, what lights do you have mounted to that bar? I'm looking for some strong yet thin driving lights that I can hide in my grill and those look like they'd do the job.

I have an 03 with a westin ultimate bull bar and its bolted straight to the bumper like you said and it wiggles I'm deff going with the defiant

Why would you get fiberglass fenders with a spacer lift??

If you had put it up against the Steelcraft and not the Westin I'd have gone for it. The Westin looked cheap when I was buying... Everything from the way it connected at only 2 points to how it had plastic hiding the welds...

westin is GARBAGE. if you want a bullbar, buy a steelcraft. and I speak
from experience, as I had a westin before I got my steelcraft.

btw, you can fit four six inch lights on a steelcraft.
