Have you drilled into the roof to run any wires for lights? My buddy took his new Taco to a shop to have them install a light bar on top (rich kid), and they didnt seal the hole where they drilled at and it started leaking.
Yeah, I have Damp carpet problems in mine as well and it's either a rusty windshield framing area, a hole in the main firewall grommet or my Sunroof drains.
Or maybe a combination of all three.. who knows.
Step 1, used some Black Silicone RTV stuff to plug up the firewall grommet.
Now I sit back and wait to see if the carpet dries up and doesn't get wet again.

Even then, be wary - water POURS over that grommet when it rains and the truck is parked.Yep, that fixed mine. there was a power wire to a trailer brake run through that area with the rubber pulled back instead of penetrating it. I did the same on my Tahoe, running the wire THROUGH the rubber not around it.
