I bought our 4Runner 1 year ago today and love it more every time I drive it. This is by far the best vehicle I've owned and the best online community I've ever been part of.

The wealth of information available on this site just blows me away and the members are generally very kind and helpful. So, in short, thanks to everyone here for making this a great place to be. And, I guess I should thank Toyota for making such a great truck :cheers:

So, for my anniversary present to myself, I found this Rola Roof Rack Basket on craigslist for super cheap, so I bought it and refurb'd it. Here are the pics of the process. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday evening...

This is how if looked when I got it

First thing I did was take some 80 grit metal sand paper to get rid of a few rust spots

Here it is after 1st coat of primer

Here it is all primed, after the first coat of black

By the time I was done it was dark, so here it is all mounted up
