What aftermarket alarm is this?

Sorry if this should be in the Audio & Electronics forum, but I thought it might be 4th Gen specific.

I've had my 4R for about 4 months now, and still haven't figured out who makes this aftermarket alarm system. Here's what I have to work with:

1. There's a red diode on the dash that illuminates when I lock the car.
2. The remote is the standard 3-button 4Runner remote
3. If I lock the car "twice" simultaneously, either with the key or hitting the remote button twice, it sounds the panic alarm.
4. I haven't had any other different sounding alarms go off.

It doesn't really bother me, other than the occasional hitting the lock button twice, and you're "that guy" that's setting off his alarm for no reason. Thanks for any insight!

look under ur dash, or check behind the driver kick panel, it might be a cheap alarm brain, kinda like adiovox or something, usualy the dealer have some connections with alarm shops and they do a add on over the keyless.

You are describing the same remote/LED lite that my wife's 2002 Taco (CA purchase) has. Will try to look at it soon.

That's unfortunate, because the easiest way to shut the headlights off (if you leave the switch in "Auto" or "On") is by pressing the "Lock" twice after you get out of the truck. They also time out after 3 minutes, but I'm in the habit of hitting Lock twice and then the lights go off right away.

It's definitely some sort of aftermarket add-on.

I end up locking the car, and by the time I've gotten my front door unlocked, or walked away, I hit lock again. It seems to be that I can hit lock for the second time after about 4 or 5 seconds.
