What air filter is best? K&N, OEM / Stock, AFE, ect?

Well, I don't have a K&N on my 16 Trail, but I have one on my 99 F250 Superfuty diesel. Had it in since day 2, 270,000 miles later it's still going strong. Had a K&N on my 93 Mustang 5.0 literally 15 minutes after I drove it off the dealer lot. Sold it with 193,000 miles in it, was still going strong. Just my personal experiences.

I haven't put a K&N on my 4runner yet; going to let the stock filter get dirty.

I've had good luck with the K&N filters getting small particles as well. I really like the rubber seal around the edge which creates a much better mate in the filter housing.

I'm anal, but every oil change I service my K&N filters. It doesn't take that long and I know it's properly oiled and cleaned. Make sure they dry before installing them and don't over oil them!

I ran a Amsoil in my 3rd gen

worked really well combined with a poor mans cat-back, elbow removal and the intake silencer removed.

I had a k&n in my v6 t4r and recently went back to a stock fram filter. I also had a stock dealer filter in my v8 gx470 and recently went to an afe dry filter.

No noticeable difference on either machine.

I have always liked the drop in K&N filter and have used one on every one of my vehicles and never had any issues with them. I clean them at every oil change..
