What are you guys paying for the TRD Pro 4runner

How much was that cement listed for?

$49. But I have a sneaking suspicion it was a sham listing to get people in the dealer so they can push their used $56k Cavalry TRD. The CarFax showed it has been listed for sale by this dealer twice in the last few months, while it was being serviced at a dealer in the Midwest. :suspicious:

There's a lot of money around, apparently.

Even the white/black at Toyota of Dallas were $5k over.

I don’t doubt Toyota of Dallas listing for 5K over. I’ll never set foot in that place again after 4 sales guys practically tried to jump me when I didn’t buy a Tacoma from them a couple years ago. I learned a lot about buying a car after that experience.

Update

I picked up a 2018 off road premium with kdss. A bit more than 1k off and negotiated a decent trade in for my 15 trail premium 30k. I was happy with the deal and it was only 20 bucks more a month. I’m liking how the kdss drives however. Minimal roll on road and max articulation off-road. Mind you I just broke 100 miles with a short trail ride by power lines near my house.
Already added HIDS LED FOGS. THULE RACK AND VOLK TE 37x

Another data point for the SoCal market. I drove this 2016 Quicksand TRD Pro earlier today. 25k miles and listed at $44k.

Poor truck was not in very good shape. Hood latch and hitch receiver were rusting already and there were spots of surface rust on the undercarriage. Rear liftgate was completely non-op and there were a handful of paint chips on the rear bumper. Soft brake pedal and a big clunk from the transmission shifting into D. I got the feeling it's had a rough life--might be the only Pro in SoCal that doesn't fly off the lot immediately.

I'm in SoCal and I got my Cement TRDP for MSRP but that is very rare here, I lucked out TBH. The 10 or so dealers I talked to marked them up anywhere from $5-15K and they were flying out the door or sold before they even reached the states.
BS...prove it!

You should always know the numbers, particularly on a lease (as another member mentioned). Always negotiate the sales price first (just like you would if you purchased/financed). Then, you need to know the residual value of the vehicle for the lease term, and the money factor. Both the residual and money factor can be negotiated, and this is where dealers can f you over. If they ask, 'how much do you want to pay per month,' don't answer that. It's a trap. Negotiate sales price, money factor and residual. For a 4runner, I would finance, as it retains its value well.

I personally paid sticker price/msrp otd, before taxes. This included dealer fees etc, so my sales price is less than msrp. I had to fly out to another state and drive it back, but it was well worth it.

Congrats on the off road premium!

Could anybody on the West Coast/Mountain West who has paid MSRP (or close) for a Pro please PM me the selling dealer information? Ready to buy and fed up with SoCal dealers marking up $15k.

There is a Cavalry Blue here in the Bay Area at Hanlees Hilltop Toyota that can be had for

62,500. Yep it is listed for 62,500.

In San Francisco Toyota there is a white Pro for 45,847.

Seems like the yearly special pro color gets marked up more than regular recurring color pros?

IME with the SoCal market, those MSRP listings are for ghost cars.

It's too bad that Toyota isn't doing anything to police dealer price-gouging like Dodge does with their special edition cars. All will be well once I finally find my car, but this is by far the most frustrating new car search I've ever had.
