what battery to swap to from stock ?

had my 2021 venture for about a year but its my 2nd winter with it and sometimes in morning at -20 outside its struggles to start but still starts id just rather swap to something strong but lighter ?

is there light batterys now that offer same power as the heavy ones ?

I recommend an AGM battery. Less maintenance and more cca. I got the interstate battery from Costco. But it’s hit or miss if it’s in stock. Just get it from interstate.

Nothing wrong with the stock battery from Toyota, it's all I've ever used in my 3 Toyotas for years and they perform very well and last a long time, minimum 5 years or more and I live in Chicago area so they get a taste of all temperature ranges.

I did autozone brand Duralast? AGM. easy warranty, autozones are everywhere.

You can go AGM, or you can grab a traditional. I recently replaced my stock battery with a better cold crank traditional (700) from Costco. They were out of the AGM. Living in North Dakota we see -45 temps during the winter and I have not had any issues with the two traditional batteries I have installed (1 on jeep, 1 on t4r).

whatever battery you buy.. invest in a battery maintainer.. it'll extend its life

You will want a higher CCA (cold cranking amps). 4Runner stock battery is like 550cca which does the job but not like my Odyssey AGM 24F. But that may be overkill.

Just get a quality higher CCA battery.

Absolutely correct ! Its still under warranty.

Check your stock Battery, If its a Panasonic then Keep it, as someone suggested put it on a GOOD charger once a week to top it off in the winter months.
If you let the dealer swap out your stock battery you won't get a Panasonic.
you will get a battery that is labeled Toyota but it is nowhere near what the Panasonic is
My stock Panasonic battery went eight years and had not failed, but eight years is pushing it.
I installed a Odyssey 34R , Pricey, but it has never left me stranded.

My stock Panasonic battery lasted 7 years without issues. Shouldn’t have to replace anytime soon unless you got a bad battery from the dealer.
