What brake pads should I use???

I will be needing new pads soon... what are some good kinds to get that are fairly inexpensive. I was thinking of ebay?? I am going to try and install them myself is it a hard job??

I said this before. But Wagner Thermo Quite's are very good. Low break dust and no squeeling.

I would vote for OEM. My original set lasted 130K on my 3rd Gen (I'm easy on the brakes)... so no complaints here.

My motto is if you have OEM rotors use OEM pads. They were well engineered by Toyota. Also, pads from other manufacturers can cut your rotors and/or not respond as well during hard braking. This is a high tech braking system and the OEM parts were made to work together. Changing one component to a different brand may raise safety issues. Aftermarket rotors- use whatever you want.

I'm a big fan of Raybestos Quiet Stop pads. They are ceramic (as opposed to organic or semi-metallic) and generate virtually no brake dust, plus they are as quiet as a church mouse. Or should I say more quiet than a church mouse? Either way, you won't hear so much as a squeak out of them.

The OEM pads on my 4Runner don't generate much dust, but they go through periods of occasional squeeling, probably due to metallic elements in the friction surface. It's not enough to bother me, but it is enough to make me go with my favorite (Raybestos) pads when the time comes to change them out. The OEM pads are good, but I just have too many reasons to go with ceramics.
