Josh, I'm gonna ban you for posting all your gear and lightening up my wallet. JK, rock on!

Incredible set of equipment you have.

I take zero responsibility for the repercussions of my photos. :moon:

The 70-200 is a SWEET piece of glass. The new VR2 system works great and it's sharp as hell. I used it at my girlfriends graduation with a 1.7 teleconverter and the VR stabilized the shots at full zoom which is around 510mm (200mm X 1.5 crop factor X 1.7 teleconverter = 510mm).

Wicked!

Whatcha doing with the 300?

The D700's were backordered on B&H so I held off. I am going to wait and see if they come out with the D700s/x in the next couple months which was initially my plan anyways.

Still getting the 16-35, which will be my wide angle when I go FX. It's much sharper than the 17-35 f/2.8 which it replaced and is just as sharp as the 14-24 but it can take filters unlike the 14-24.

The 24-70 is a little too tight on my DX body when I am photographing larger objects like my truck, so I could use a sharper wide angle than my 12-24. Then when I switch to FX (D700s/x) it will be 2mm wider than the 12-24 is on my D300. (12mm with the DX crop is 18mm).

When I get the new body I'll probably sell the D300 unless I decide to keep it as a backup.

I bought myself Nikon D70S nearly five yeas ago. It worked very well and never brought any troubles to me.

But now he is an old guy and has to retire sometime this year.

Just bought a 50d and a 18-135mm lens yesterday, excited about my first DSLR! I almost got a 7D but decided that the 50d would be fine for my first real camera. Next purchase will be a 10-22 wide angle Canon, have to wait until $900 comes around haha. I obviously have nothing compared to you guys.

its the photographer, not the equipment. =P

but equipment does help a little, along with photoshop skills haha!

Yea, I don't have full CS4 but I do have Lightroom and Aperture 3. Lightroom is better at actually messing with pictures but Aperture 3 has better organizing skills.

If anyone is interested I am selling a few things:

Nikon D300
Nikon 12-24mm f/4
Nikon 18-200mm VR
Nikon 35mm f/1.8

Everything is in mint condition. PM me for pricing.

I shoot on a D700 with a 14-24mm f2.8, 28-70mm tamron f2.8 and a 50mmf1.4. Love that combo.

Also have a D80 and a Panasonic LX-3.

I knew you had a nice setup when I saw your recent photos. Did you use the 50mm for those pics? The bokeh is really nice btw.

I've been really into video since high school and for that i shoot with my Canon GL2. But I recently bought a Nikon D5000 and so far i love it. I'm just getting into the whole SLR thing. I only got the one 18-55mm lens that it came with. I'm looking into getting a lens for some action sports photos. I'm thinking a 70-200mm... thoughts?

Here's a couple pics that I've taken that i like.
