What can I get a 2015 TEP for?

I am in Louisiana, I have decided on a 2015 Trail Premium, minimal added options. What do you think will be the best price, without tax.

I am looking for the base Premium, which is a loaded vehicle, don't need remote start, paint sealant, nitrogen tires, floor mats-will go with WeatherTech, none of the stuff that is port or dealer added.

I am following KBB and their Fair Market Value data that is updated daily.

I paid $34,023 + the Gvt's cut in Houston for a 2015 Base Trail with nav, steps & a ton of Gulf State crap ($1800). Premium would be about $2k more? No trade or finance to confuse things, so this was an actual cash deal. Look at the base model; the fabric seats are nicer than the leather I thought. I'm 6'2" so sunroof was not an option either.

I have a feeling I will taking a trip to Houston...the dealers here think they are selling unicorn milk...

Go to truecar.com to get a decent idea of what people are paying for a vehicle in a certain area.

I have used in the past and it has been fairly accurate.

One thing I have found is that dealerships in smaller towns tend to have a lower price since their overhead is lower and have less competition. Bought the wife's Pilot in College Station, Texas a few years ago and they beat the Houston dealerships by over a $1k. That savings was worth a 45 minute drive for me.

There might be dealers closer to you than Houston with a decent price. Just have to spend some time on the web to find out.
