What color to paint these factory wheels?

Hey everyone! I wanted to hear your opinion on these wheels (they are dirty at the moment so ignore that).

I don't particularly love these wheels that came on the 1st gen Tacoma's but they were only $25 a piece from craigslist and I needed 16" factory wheels. What color do you think would make these wheels a little bit more attractive on an evergreen pearl 3rd gen?

I'd say paint them Rustoleum Hammered Bronze.
The hammered looks neat, and is forgiving of small flaws, and the dark bronze would compliment the Evergreen Pearl nicely

The anthracite/gun metal gray color wheels look great with the green IMHO. Several members have gone this route with excellent results (pretty sure they were using they duplicator spray paint available from most auto stores). I went with a "rustic mist" bronze color on my millennium silver '99 using the Rust-o-leum brand spray paint and a clear gloss topcoat; very satisfied so far.

I’d definitely clean them up and paint them. Wash, sand, wipe with isopropyl alcohol, mask off the inner portions, spray with a primer/color combo paint like the Rust-oleum, and finish with a clear lacquer for some solid results for pretty cheap. If nothing else, you could resell the painted wheels for more $ if you don’t like the way the turnout; but I suspect they’ll look great. There are some great write ups on the process; I’m also happy to answer any questions.

Sorry in advance but these wheels are ugly as sin. Burry them in the yard or trade them for some good looking OEM ones. Basically any rims that are not these ones.

If you're on a budget & dont like the wheels just paint them black. You cant see the details of a black wheel from a distance anyway. Then start saving for wheels you really want.

If you like them spend the money & get them sandblasted & powder coated.
Gunmetal or Bronze looks good with Green.

GM used a color called "argent silver" on their steelies in the 60's - 80's. I always liked it.

I agree, the gun metal grey looks great!

I have a thread about it but I basically followed the instructions on the can sans primer, I just scuffed the stock finish, cleaned em and shot em
