The tail gate... the passenger side of my T4R tailgate didn't lock, I found out the latch cable was stuck. After several aplications of silicone in spray, it's working again.

Final product. Not 100% perfect but I'm happy with it. And it's now in a lot better condition than my original dash. Total cost $0. All stuff I had laying in the garage.

I didn't take many pictures. Basically I took a die grinder to all the loose material and cracks. Then I filled with gorilla glue. Because it expands to fill all the voids. I sanded with a d/a till smooth. It took a few applications. Then when I was happy with it I sprayed 2 coats of SEM texture coat followed by 2 coats of SEM graphite. Again I had everything already from other projects.

Could've gotten some vinyl from Michels or something and 'recreated' the texture in the paint. Theres some good Duplicolor paint thats almost perfect.

Took a call to Yoda Yard and a 2 hour drive to another junkyard that had them

Anyway I'll see how they work out when sliders are all installed. Should be Sunday to get them welded on!

Code and fuel system help needed

I cant post new threads for some reason.

I have a 1900 4runner sr5 5 speed and it has a check engine lite and it flashes 1 5 2 5 and the smog guy isn't sure if that is a 25 and 52 code or a 15 and 52 code etc.

It hesitates and surges slightly under acceleration until 4800 rpm at which time it runs properly until 5300 where i stop revving it.

it idles fine and never misses and runs smooth if you sit in it in neutral and rev it up


any way to determine exactly what codes are showing by this flashing sequence?

it has 31" tires and is pathetically sow to accelerate . is this normal?

any ideas what the prob might be?

any way to test a throttle body to determine if it is not working properly?

Well. The last few days have been productive! I finally got the LED headlights in and wired. They work great! Damn they are bright! Today I installed the 1" BL. I got from 4crawler. Went easy, just need to do some work with the shifters, does not want to stay in 2nd, 4th or reverse. Also still working on the damn engine hesitation, bucking problem. I am replacing the TPS tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

So the original leather on my steering wheel had faded from gray to a brown, mostly on the top portion where the sun hit it. My bride with her sewing background installed the new Wheelskin leather cover. Very pleased with the look and feel.
