What did you do with your classic T4R today?

Ordered $4,000.00 worth of parts! Getting a custom built Keith Black 9.7:1 22RE engine from Zuki Engines. Also getting a pro clutch kit from LCEngineering, steering box, P/S pump, P/S hoses (to correct P/S system leak) alond with a few other various parts to go with the new engine.



1991 Toyota 4Runner 22RE, 5spd, 4X4.

First car

Hi, this not too shabby (don't judge) 94 SR5 with a blown head gasket and frustating body/interior damage is my first car. It has an unknown creature in it, dents and rust holes, courtesy of last owner. Im currently fixing the hole in the top that was filled with bondo, going to redo the hood scoop because its letting water in inder the paint, and cleaning the cargo carpet. The 3VZE is a pain in the but because of the battery cables (too short) and the gasket removal procedure (too much stuff in the way). Forgot to mention no stereo and missin over twenty interior screws (courtesy of previos owner). But it should come together nicely when im done with it.

Keep at it man. They're always whatever you wanna make them. The personalization process is half the fun. Time + dedication = pride in ownership. They're great machines.

Fabbed up an electric parking brake. No more worrying about cables snapping (happening far too frequently). Will post pictures and information if anyone is interested.

First bondo job

I worked again today and got to bondoing the roof. No practice firs job and came out better than i expected. I also primed the roof and fixed the roof taillight. Now i need to do the taillight dent and other eoof area's.

Hit up the local junk yard and found an unrusted driver fender. Since I decided to just rattle can it sanded both fenders and the driver door.

I don't think the top has ever been off my '89. The original owner was older, garaged it and used for a winter vehicle. The weather stripping was in excellent shape, still pliable.





I've been hoarding a Softopper for about five years. They were much cheaper back then. It's been biding its time in its box in the garage... It took me 1 hour 42 minutes to put it on by myself.



When my son got back from fishing we went for a long drive. Tomorrow we will strip as many parts as possible, including the top and drop it at the painters. It's going to be painted Superwhite to match my 2016 Tacoma.
