Cleaned on mine all day yesterday , she's still my daily driver . can't complain either , been getting about 17mpg around town .

Been having a blast tinkering on my 95. Had nothing to do today since I can't hunt birds, so I spent most of the day tinkering.
Fixed the tailgate lock so I don't have to pull the cover off every time I want to drop the gate.
Wire brushed the rust off the trailer hitch and front skid plate and shot both with black rattle can.
Installed the cubby for the stereo install that crutch field forgot to send last week
Tried to fix:
Passenger power window. Bad motor, will replace it someday.
Slow rear window motors. Tried to lube, but all I had was WD40
AC panel backlight, not sure if I bought the wrong bulb, or if it was just too dark to "find the hole"
Also tried to remove my passenger side running board, but it's so jacked from an accident the PO was in that I need a sawsall to cut it off the brackets.
Tomorrow I might try to see why the PO cut the wiring out for the rear defroster inside the tailgate. If I get power, I might try a splice and restore it.
Even bought some seat covers, but the walmart universal mossy oak didn't fit.

I've been digging out old parts to put them back on my newly painted truck. I used the rear "wheelhouse quarter covers" as molds when I fiberglassed. They were broken and messed up. Come to find out the Toyota catalogs show them but they are discontinued. I'm still not sure if I want to put them back. I closed the mounting holes on the truck. This is what they looked like and one had a crack in it.
I used some epoxy for plastic parts to repair the crack. Then hand sanded. Then sprayed with Duplicolor Adhesion Spray. Then coated them with Duplicolor Textured Bedliner which is black. It put a nice texture on them. Then more Adhesion Spray. Then white Fusion paint. This is how they look now. I closed the hole on them with a clip from the Help! packs at Autozone.
Does anybody else have trouble with Photobucket? I can't find recent pics of the '89.

I took my '88 "3.Slow" for it's first long shake down run since rebuilding the top end. Cruised at an indicated 70MPH without issue. I had no problem keeping up with traffic and adjusting speed as needed. The braking still sucks compared to modern cars, but it was a pleasant surprise on the highway, considering all the threads I read about how slow these trucks are.

Did what Prestone calls "heavy-duty" cooling system flush.
Drained and rinsed system, refilled with water and flushing solution, drove it from Riverside County, CA, to Anza-Borrego Desert,to Salton Sea, to Salvation mountain and Slab City, and n the way home, jump-start a lady's 1886 Toyota van and checked her alternator output.
Yesterday, I drained the system, cleaned and tested the coolant temp sensor and the CSI timer switch.
Will re-install those today, remove and replace thermostat with 2-stage one from LC Engineering, and refill the system with coolant.

It's a 21 spline, will be running the old TG skid. Came with the cases, may have to fab up a widening bracket but will see Saturday when I get the stock case out. Will post some pictures on my build. Also have to build a new rear DS since I snapped mine in half at Uwharrie. Will be building my new one out of 3" DOM. Should be a pretty stout set up, luckily I don't drive it on the road.

I just got mine home. Such a good feeling. Still have a few codes to look at but she runs and I can tinker again.
Now that it's raining tons, it's hunting season, snows come after hunting season, seems about right. [emoji482]

Of all the cars we've had, the Prelude seats are my favorite; firm and keep the posture the best.
I wonder if they'll also plug n play into the first-gen 4Runner

i have heard that they will mount up on the front mounts in a 1st Gen 4runner, Prelude/Integra seats are 16 3/4" on center for the front mounts, same as my 2nd gen.
Chased the last of my electrical gremlins...
Dome light was intermittent - Dang gremlin let the bulb fell out of the prongs.
All doors don't unlock from driver's w/ key - still chasing that guy. he's sneaky.
Front passenger window doesn't work - He's hanging out with the door unlocker somewhere.
I have also decided I'm going to have to go to Toyota and try to get a factory key made. The PO gave me 5 keys and they all were ground differently. I can't lock any door from the outside, only unlock.

How bad do you need to lock the doors anyway? NoDak is a small town is a huge place...surely you can trust your neighbors...and track down the thieves?

I can lock 'me from the inside, would be convinient to be able to unlock/lock with the key
