Passat was my first car at 16, loved that thing. Once I had the Lexus I knew it was going to take a lot to pull me away from the Toyota(Lexus) family ever again. The Rx300 had the most comfortable seats ever, a decent AWD system, roomy interior; basically a fancy Rav4. I actually LOVED the Prius, it did it's job and allowed me to save a ton of money in preparation for buying my first home this past spring. I planned on keeping it until death until I crunched it a few weeks ago. I was paid out 1.5k more than I paid for it by the insurance company so another check in the positive column for Toyota and holding their value.

Hunting/Fishing out of the Prius and carrying all my gear was a little difficult but manageable. I certainly bottomed out a couple times on 2 tracks heading back to hunting spots, I never got stuck but did all I could to avoid any dips and didn't push it. After it went to an early grave I knew it was time to get a more capable vehicle for the outdoors. Welcome to the family my 4Runner!!

My 1999 Tacoma was my daily until getting the 4R. Now the Taco only gets driven for wheeling and camping. The 4R will and has gone wheeling, just not as much, nor as difficult terrain as the Taco.

I am pretty sure no one here mentioned the car I used to drive before getting my 4Runner.

1997 Volvo 850R.

I drove it until it burnt a valve for some odd reason, really premature too. So I decided to keep it, take it completely apart as a way to learn about car engines, and then slowly built it back up with some go fast parts. Now, it is an absolute blast to drive. I swapped it to a 5 speed manual, added a bigger turbo, and running on e85. Turbo noises keep me giddy.

At the same time as the Mustang, I owned a 1999 Chevy C/K2500 454ci pickup, and 2004 Honda Accord

Sold the 2007 Mustang and Pickup to buy and modify a 1968 Mustang.

My LAST vehicle....

I’m an older guy; so I don’t want to get into my first, or second, or third...well, you guys get the idea.
Before my 2019 TRD OR; I bought and drove a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk for 2-1/2 years; I thought they looked kinda cool (I commute about 125 miles per day) and would be fun to drive. But I started having issues with it and decided to dump it (took a big loss; apparently they do NOT hold their value). I started looking at 4Runners, decided to buy one, and well; I’ve got about $8,000 in aftermarket mods on my T4R and absolutely love driving it. I’ve got a Jeep Rubicon for more serious bouldering; but I took the 4Runner out twice this last summer; and did all the rock-crawling I had done earlier in the summer with the Rubicon, with only one earned dent in my fuel-tank skid plate!

I can't seem to only own one car at a time. Almost any car gets boring to me if it's the only thing I drive. That said, my T4R is my first SUV.

Here is the track car/garage queen. As far as cars go, it's the polar opposite of a T4R: super low, unreliable and very quick around a corner.
