Age 16 - Honda Civic LX sedan - I riced this out, like most 16 y.o. would.

Age 17 - Someone in a motorcycle helped me total the first Civic so I bought a 99 Civic EX manual. I think I built this one a little better...

Then came the Range Rover.

And now my wonderful 4R. My favorite of them all!!

And she's about to get even better! In the next week she'll be gettting a bull bar, hanna quality sliders, and a 3" lift!! :dancin: :bigok: It is going to be a great week of wrenchin!

I really thought that when the first picture on 4runnertosti post was loading that he was driving around the short bus. It was kind of a disaspointment when i saw the other car.

Then I picked up a 2007 Acura RDX Tech package

And the RDX got a friend in late 2006 when I got the 4Runner as a hand me down

And my parents currently push a Cayenne Turbo, Continental GT and an X5

1987 Toyota MR2 since 1996, 2003 CBR 600RR brand new, and 2005 LTD. 4runner brand new. Still have all 3, but parting with the MR2 and bike soon .

First car was; a 1979 olds cutlass supreme 2 door w/factory chevy 305 4bbl, then a 1979 camaro berlinetta V8, a 1981 2door chevette 4speed, 1966 J300 4x4 w/36" mudders and a 401 V8, next was a 1982 Z/28 4speed that I traded a 1974 Caddy sedan deville 500ci V8 that my grandfather gave me even for, it had a grenaded 305 crossfire that I replaced with a built 400hp 350(very fun car), 1981 Monte Carlo V6 T-Top. Then came the 1969 GTO RAIII 4speed coupe that I kept for 15 years (still regret selling it), 1985 BMW 318i 2 door 5speed, 1984 olds cutlass supreme 2 door, 1986 Monte Carlo SS, 1989 Z52 corvette(totaled), 1978 mustang II coupe 302 auto, 1985 IROC-Z 5.0 TPI (totaled), 1968 Kaiser M715 w/ 5.7 chevy power (still own), 1985 Monte Carlo, 1987 toyota 4x4 turbo 5speed p/u, 1984 toyota 4x4 extra cab 6" lift w/231 buick V6 and TH350, two 1985 4runners, 1986 4runner, 1987 4runner, 2000 V6 5 speed SR5 Tacoma 4x4 xtra cab, 2001 V6 5speed limited Tacoma, 2004 V8 se 4x4 4runner (still own), 2005 Tacoma 4x4 V6 6speed access cab, 2005 corolla S 5speed, 2004 camry se V6, 2007 corolla S 5speed. And just added to my current collection last week a 2009 RAV4 4x4 limited V6 for the wife. Can't fit our motorcycles in this post lol. Then I decided to SAS it, and build the 22-r...

22-r has:
-LC stage II cam, port/polish, .30 over and domes
-downey header
-weber carb/ MSD ignition..etc

SAS:
-Toyota 8" with 5.29's detroit, and longfields
-6" springs

My first car was a 1990 Mercury Cougar...no pictures

Second was a 99 Olds Alero to drive to college and back:

Traded that 2 years later for a 2003 Nissan Xterra:

Traded that after graduating 2 years later for my dream car, a 2005 Mustang GT

At the same time, I didn't want to drive the Mustang daily so I bought a 96 4Runner for a daily driver:

The Mustang ended up being a piece of junk. I sold the 96 4Runner then traded the Mustang for my 06 4Runner Sport Edition and have been driving it for 3 years. Still love it like the day I bought it:

I've had a lot of cars to only be 26 years old! I plan on keeping this one a while.

1987 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL W126. Anthracite Gray Metallic with Palomino Interior, had about 250k when I parted ways with it.

It had a 5.6 liter V8. It was surprisingly fast for an 18 foot long 4600 pound luxury sedan. I raced my buddies at the time since I was a young teen, it was pretty cool owning a sleeper that could beat stock Mustang GTs and Camaro Z28s.

My dad bought from a guy who won it in a poker game for $30,000 in 1989. The car had 90k on it already, though. Dad rolled the ODO back and committed fraud... lol. ODO broke in the early 2000's at 138,513 miles (I remember because I stared at it so much). I ended getting it when I turned 16. Not too long after that, I had a disagreement with a curb. I fixed it and drove it for about another 6 months, til it was just time for it to go (especially with gas prices nearing $5 at the time.) At the end of 07, got a 2005 C230 Kompressor Sport with 24k.

The C230 as of June, 2011. 1.8l 4 cylinder, supercharged. Not much difference in 4 years, clear marker lenses, new tires and brakes, Kenwood DNX7100, and projector fog lamps. Currently at 42k miles. Sits so much that I actually had to replace the motor mounts from sagging Still sits.

4Runner on day 1, $5500 on March 30, 2008. 142k miles. 2.7 2WD.

4Runner 3 years later, as of June 2011. 188k miles. Just about to become Supercharged @ 8PSI. Soon to be 4WD.

I think it is funny seeing alot of these guys going from fixing up imports to 4runners.

Now I have a 2008 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I LOVE my 4Runner and wished I would have purchased one a long time ago. The only thing that I regret about it is not getting the 4WD. Other than that I absolutely love my 4Runner!
