Here's a few of my favorite vehicles I've built

The Baja bug's decals were made by me using Adobe Illustrator. I am a huge fan of Tamiya Remote control cars of the Eighties. I copied the Sand Scorcher's decals design layout as it shows on the box art the car came with.

The 57 Ford was setup as an early sixties gasser, complete with a leaf spring lifted straight axle front end and fenderwell headers.

The Jeep started out as a 2003 Wrangler. I basically bolted on a bunch of military jeep parts and made a custom canvas top to mimic the WW2 era Jeeps. Added front flat fenders, blackout lights and other cool stuff. Even had a working siren for parades. My complete build of it is on jeepforum.com if anyone's interested.

Why did you ditch the new model? And I didn't see anything in your signature, but I'm assuming you got into a new 4runner?

Thanks. Yeah my problem with automobiles is that there's too many out there that I want to own. Once I'm done customizing the 4Runner I'm sure I'll move onto something else. That's what my friends and family think anyway.

I don't have any real plan on what I want to do to this, other than a few mods like bumpers and interior and possibly a front solid axle.

Me too! Was looking for something bigger when the news broke, and decided to ride it out. So glad I did. It nearly paid for the brand new 4runner with the settlement because I had really low miles.

Me too! Was looking for something bigger when the news broke, and decided to ride it out. So glad I did. It nearly paid for the brand new 4runner with the settlement because I had really low miles.

Lucky for you! I had 164,000km on my 2013 when I dropped it off at the dealer and gave the keys. The car barely made it there, after a year and half of waiting for the settlement and not putting a dime in maintenance, it really took it's toll on it. Best feeling ever was to walk home with that check in my pocket. Vw really messed up on that one.

I decided on a 4th gen for price and the awd it comes with and knowing my girlfriend will drive it every now and again, it reassure me to believe she won't fishtail all over the place with that feature. It is our only vehicle. What I really wanted was the TE 2010-2013 but did not want to embark on bigger payments anymore. So far I'm super happy with my 4th gen. The only thing I miss in it is BT radio for hands free call and auto-up\ down for all windows. Otherwise, it's perfect. Oh and getting used to the fact that it gobs down gasoline like mad eh eh.
