What did you have before your 4Runner?

I've had 60 something vehicles in the last 12 or so years, so we could be here all day, but here are some. As far as offroading goes I was a Jeep guy until I bought this current 4runner in September.

I've been switching between Toyota and Jeep since my 1st gen pickups way back when. Usually have one of each brand at any time but we're going for the full Japanese fleet now and I can't wait to get our T4R so I can say goodbye to the JKUR Wrangler. Had some good adventures in that but way too many issues, so the T4R is definitely looking like an upgrade.

Been through (3) '80-'81 1st gen Toyota Pickups, '86 Subaru GL Wagon, '92 Ford Explorer, '98 Jeep Cherokee, '03 Jeep TJ, '91 BMW E30,

Currently own a '75 FJ40, '14 BRZ, '16 JKUR, and a trusty '98 Honda Accord... (not picture worthy)
The new '18 magnetic grey TRD ORP will be here in a couple weeks, and then the Jeep is gone!

Some people wait months vs weeks for mine. Still, having trouble waiting.

The new models were about to be announced, and being that they were discontinuing the 6spd, I was able to get almost all of my money back on the purchase. If I had waited another few months I would have lost out on $5-10k!

This thread is really funny. Seeing these cars and trucks from your history that only goes back a few years. My first car was a 1960 Dodge that Mom gave me for high school graduation in 1970. That was followed by various used cars and trucks until I bought my very first new car, a 1973 Vega Gt ! What a piece of crap! Got rid of that and started on Pontiacs. '76 Firebird was a good car but it kept getting bumped into. Nothing bad just a lot of small dents all over. More new cars up to 2006 Buick Lucerne. Drove that for 3200 miles over ten years. Then went back to used. 2014 Runner was a lease turn in. This will probably be my last vehicle. Oh, I forgot, sitting in the garage for the winter is my summer driver. 1987 Buick Regal T. That's my toy that I love using to humiliate kids with their Stangs and Rice burners. For those who don't know, think Grand National only 200 lbs lighter, same drive train.
