What do I do next?

Hi everyone I am a new to the t4runer world. I had a good ol explorer for about 3 years while I was searching for a Toyota. About three weeks ago a 1990 3.sl0w came up for sale on craigslist. It was 3700 and has about 178,630.I went and test drove it and it ran good with ac and heater so I bought it.I Have no records of the car and have no clue what it has been through. The owner I bought it from had no idea either he bought it a month before I took it off his hands. It runs like a champ but it idles real high when still. the day I got it I replaced:
oil & filter
clutch fluid
brake fluid
both diff fluid
transmition fluid
air filter
o2 sensor
power steering
replaced shoes and pads front and back
new rottors and drums
thermostat
belts and fan clutch
spark plugs and wires.
and a radiator flush.
I still have to replace cv joints for both side and suspention but that stuff is expensive and I will have to wait till pay day.
With everyones experience I was wondering if there is anything specific that I should be looking out for? and problems that are a common. anything response is greatly appreciated. Or any fluids that I may have missed.

Sounds like you've got pretty much everything sorted. Do the CV Joints and suspension need changing? I think the only thing you need to watch out for with the 3.0 are the head gaskets.

Yea the cv joints are clicking on both sides. and the suspension is the original from 1990 so its a little blown and the springs are shot. I bottom out on every little things. Im not trying to do any crazy crawling, What suspention should I go with? Is bilstean 4600 good or should I go with something else. I would like to do a slight lift. How would I Go about it? My back round is with my explorer and to lift that your you did a tortion twist. Would I do the same thing or is there a better way to lift it?

Looks like it could use a good rub and buff. Sounds like you had quite the first day with it!

Looks nice and straight. Interesting though, I noticed you have wing windows and no tire carrier? When did the door glass change, and was the tire rack an option or only included with a certain package?

Heck yea it was i didnt want to drive it untill i did everything. I honestly dont know about the tire rack and roof rack. I wish it came with one tho. Does anyone know what i need to do to lift it? or have a thread i can read?

Sounds like you're off to a good start! For peace of mind, timing belt would also be a positive investment. Also, you can rebuild the Rzeppa (pretty sure that's how you spell it, aka CV) joints in your axles for cheaper than a whole new axle. Where are you located? I have a pair of rear shocks you can have for free, I work at a dealer and they're factory take-off shocks off a GM half ton, they're free and work like a charm.

Honest I didn't know that. I think im going to rebuild both of them so I have extra cv for the trail. I live in new mexico and that would be amazing. Do you guys know how I should go about lifting it? or is there a good thread for that?

Lots of good threads on here about lifting, the search function is your friend!!!

I'm in Western Canada, I'm not sure how you feel about shipping costs ahah
