What do you guys think about this 4runner?

I'm trying to get my friend to buy this 4runner. Do you guys think it is a good deal? It says he has a ARB rear bumper on it but I thought ARB didn't make rear bumpers for the 4runner. suggestions about whether or not this is a good buy?

ARB didn't even make a front bumper for a 3rd gen, let alone a rear bumper. People running ARB's are using 1st gen Tacoma ARB's. Maybe the rear bumper was a prototype by ARB? I think it's a good deal for a weekend offroader after the hood gets swapped out, because those lights on the hood make it look like a police cruiser olice:

Yea, can't say that I've ever seen a rear ARB for a 3rd gen. Might want to check it out and see if it's all lined up right. Might be for a different vehicle, modified to fit.

Depends on what you want. But for everything it has "done" to it, I think yes.

But yeah, not a fan of the hood lights. But if it comes with a spare hood, then thats a moot point.

IF you want to get a weekend wheeler, its worth it. If this will be your DD, not worth it. Its gonna get pretty bad mpgs.

Might be a red flag. Go check it out in person and see what your impressions are. Pics aren't that good.

^^^Agreed. I though the same thing as soon as I saw the pics. The last time I saw it the ad had different pics, but definitely the same 4Runner.

To the OP, I would check for rust if you do go look at it, because spray-on bedliner works well to hide damage/rust. The price does seem fair for what's done...from the pics. But I would have to look it over REALLY well before I felt confident enough to buy it.

I'm going to go with my friend sometime this week to go look at it and see if there are any major issues with it. Hopefully it will be a good deal, but if it has been on craigslist for a while, it might be a bad idea for him to get it.
