What does it take to fit 275/65/18's on a limited without rubbing or trimming?

I've been reading through several threads and even posted in other threads to try and find the answer but can't seem to get a general consensus. Can someone who knows from experience please tell me what it will take to fit 275/65/18's on a limited with no rubbing or trimming? Right now I have a cornfed leveling spacer up front and plan to do fj springs all the way around. is this enough? If not would the 2/1 from cornfed be enough? I'm not looking at anything ultra aggressive. Probably going to go with something like the goodyear dura trac

Given that you didn't provide a whole lot of detail, if you have the stock Limited wheels and want to mount 275/65-18 you could have (or be very close to the UCAs). The section width increase is close to 1/2 inch (not sure what the offset is on the Limited wheels). You should be fine with the lift (32.07 diameter tires).

what other detail were you looking for? It's a limited with stock 18's that I'm looking to put 275/65/18's on possibly and it currently has a cornfed leveling spacer up front and will soon have fj springs all the way around.

I would call around to some tire shops to see if they could test fit that size for you on the front. If nothing else, it will give you a better idea of what you need to do in order for that size to fit.

I think you would have to do a test fit. Like I told you in another thread, it is hard to find info on fitting stuff via the 18" wheels because not a lot of people do anything but the 265/65/18.

I am in the same boat as you. I have an 08 Limited but all I would want to do is put the leveling spacer in the front since I have the XREAS and the rear air leveling. I don't want to loose that stuff so from all the searching I have done, the safest bet is the 265/65/18.

I am pretty sure the 275's will at least rub on the UCAs. When you look at the BFG AT dimensions from the 265-275 there is a significant difference in height and width.

Go to a shop and try to fit the Goodyears or a BFG A/T on the stock truck to see if it works. Then report back.

With that width you will rub on the UCA's. You will need wheel spacers. When I got mine installed the shop refused to work on it because of the wheel spacers and made me take them off. I rubbed all the way home(1mile). I reinstalled the spacers when I got home and then I rubbed on the front plastic wheel well liner and edge of bumper. I actually wish I had purchased 275/65/18's instead of the 275/70/18's. I could have kept the mud flaps and got a spare to match.

I agree... with these or the 275's you shouldn't have any problems. Well major ones anyway.

I did exactly what your wanting to do on my 06 limited. I've got a Toytec 3" spacer lift up front and Toytec coils in the rear for 2" lift 3/2 total. I put 275/65/18 Goodyear duratracs with 1.25" spidertrax on the stock rims. I did have to do some very minor trimming of the front bumper, move the fender liner foward about 2" and take off the front mud flaps. The trimming is totally unnoticeable unless you know what your looking for. I have no rubbing at all even when wheeling. I totally recommend the setup, it looks WAY more aggressive than stock with very little trimming or anything else that cannot be undone

Ps. The spare fits as well. Just barely

For my situation, I have the rear air leveling so I can't raise the rear. I know I am safe to level the front but I don't even want to mess with the rear. I am most likely going to stick with the 265's.
