what does these dashboard cracks mean?

i bought a 2003.4runner v8 with 4wd recently.i thought these cracks were just normal dash cracks.title was clean so was carfax.when i got home i found out the passe ger side headlight has a different brand. Also found a slight sanded looking spot on the front passe ger side frame.does these cracks mean that airbag has deployed.?

Srs light on dash lights up and goes away after start.if the airbag was deployed does it leave a crack of this sort or is it worse? Any help is appreciated.i just bought this and dont want this to be bad news.

If the airbag was deployed out of that dash you would know it. Those cracks are forming where airbag will come out. Look up dash replacement on this forum and enjoy your new dash from Toyota. As for the aftermarket headlight, it could of just been to replace a yellowed faded one. Check the foglight and turn signal on same side to see if they are OEM

Thanks for the reply.you have no idea how good that made me feel.i was worried i bought a messed up truck.although the metal piece under the headlight is slightly bent.fogs are oem but its a little loose out of the joints.when i bought it it didnt really bother me because they seemed very minor damage.i have contacted toyota about new dash and cant wait till may.

It means you will be getting a new dashboard in May-ish when Toyota gets the parts in for the upcoming Campaign!

i have the same issue on my 2005, but just the right side for now, it's almost like it cracked where the dash "break points" are for the airbag.

i called and i am qualified for the new dash, however i have not received a letter yet

You should get a letter during may. Thats when they recieve parts.at least thats what toyota said.i talked to dealers about it and they cant do anything until they get the letter.
