What does this switch do?

I have an '02 sport and don't know what this swtich is for. Thanks :shrug:

It's the center lock switch. You press that to put your 4Runner into a traditional 4wd. When you initially press the 4wd button, the center dif is unlocked, thus allowing you to run in an AWD system. Good for mixed road use. When off-roading, you want to press that and lock the front wheels to the rear.

Center of cluster with the picture of axles of truck. They light up green when just in awd (switch on center lever). When you hit that center Diff switch on dash, the Orange light in the center of the picture in cluster lights up and the VSC OFF light will come on also telling you that it's in.
